About Us
Located Downtown in one of Hinckley’s oldest buildings. J&K’s Half Moon Tavern provides an inviting small town atmosphere, family friendly dining experience and daily lunch/dinner specials. Joe and Kathy Rissman have always had a love for engaging with customers and creating a friendly atmosphere. That is what you can find at J&K’s Half Moon! We are a small town bar/restaurant with a high priority on customer satisfaction. You can watch all of your favorite Chicago sports team here while enjoying your favorite beverage along with lunch and dinner specials that are available throughout the week.

Oyster Sunday Update
Hello Friends and Patrons,
We hope you are all dong well and staying safe. To those who have been back to see us, thank you! We truly appreciate your business. To those of you that have not been able to make it back to see us quite yet, we understand and hope that we are able to see you again very soon.
As we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our employees, patrons and vendors that service our establishment, we do not feel there is any ideal way to begin our Oyster Sunday Season just yet. With social distancing requirements, occupancy requirements and the general safety of everyone that would be involved, we are going to hold off until November and re-evaluate things at that point.
We appreciate your patience with us as we navigate these unchartered waters. We are just as anxious as all of you to get back to normal and enjoy some great seafood, music and fun on Oyster Sunday!
